Thermal homogeneity is key point for products quality to our customers. The fine control of temperature distributions makes possible:
- Decrease waste due to « overfiring »
- Decrease waste due to « unfiring »
- Decrease thermal non-conformities related to NAD CAP AMS2750E aeronautical regulations
- Decrease waste due to differences in colors for aesthetic products such as enameled porcelain, enameled jewelry, enameled culinary casserole …
- Saving energy by not overheating an area to reach a minimum temperature in a cold zone
To support our customers in their quality process improvement, Ceritherm developed an integrated high temperature ventilation modules (MVIHT).
Discover Ceritherm integrated high-temperature ventilation modules
MVIHTs are integrated in kiln roof, ensuring an important mixing of kiln atmosphere to improve significantly temperature homogeneity in the kiln (up to 900°C zone). The principle is to suck the hot air in roof and to re-inject it to the bottom zone to create forced convection loops.
The MVIHTs designed to fit in both new and existing kilns
MVIHTs are particularly recommended for tunnel kilns with a strong longitudinal flow, as heavy clay kilns (rooftiles or bricks). Indeed, the longitudinal flow does not ensure stirring in the tunnel kiln section. Temperature differences of more than 300°C can be observed on sections in prefiring zones (top, middle, bottom of stack).
The integration of MVIHT in prefiring zone before 900°C can divide per 3 the temperature differences and the associated waste!
MVIHT are also recommended for electric kilns where there is no flow, as electric kilns for heat treatment of metals (income, annealing).
